This proposed mix use apartment complex for 374 & 376 New Canterbury Road is located in the Dulwich hill conservation area. Its location which fronts a laneway has been taken as an opportunity to create “urban porosity” with urban activation. A café and retail premise are tucked away in the laneway that is beautified with wall mounted art installations and colour. In keeping with the areas strict heritage values the original façade was retained and all new development set back and largely obscured from view.
